What is Facebook Live?

Facebook Live or FB Live is a feature that allows any Facebook user to broadcast their lives as they happen. What this means is that you can share videos and audio of events that are happening in your life, whether it’s a mundane moment or an exciting one. This gives others the opportunity to connect with you and witness your life unfold in real-time. This is also a great new channel for content creators to create unique content to engage with their audiences. Additionally, Facebook Live video gives businesses the opportunity to broadcast special announcements or product launches. So, if you want to create engaging content on your Facebook page, you might want to start streaming.

Why Should You Use Facebook Live?

Facebook has the most active users on the social media network. And because of this, other businesses took this opportunity to try something new that will let them engage with a large audience and at the same time still fulfill their business goals. Below are some of the reasons why you should use Facebook live.

Increase Social Engagement

One of the main benefits of using Facebook Live video is that it allows you to engage with a large audience. With a Facebook live broadcast, you can create a live poll and give your viewers the opportunity to ask questions and interact with you in real-time. This can help to increase social engagement and get people more involved in your content. Additionally, having a live stream can also create an emotional connection with your followers as there will be a messenger room for your viewers to have conversations with you. This means that they will feel closer to you and will be more likely to help spread the word about your product or service.

Cost-Effective

Facebook live is cost-effective because you can use it to create engaging content that can reach a large audience. With a live stream, you don’t need to spend money on production studios or equipment; you can simply use your phone and webcam. This means that you can quickly and easily create high-quality content that will engage your viewers. Additionally, since Facebook Live is viewable on mobile devices as well as desktop computers, you can use it on both platforms. This means that you don’t need to worry about how everyone will view the content and where they’ll be able to enjoy it most.

Encourage Traffic

Facebook Lives allows you to promote your content in a more direct way. With a live stream, you can give people the opportunity to click on links that will take them to your website or page where they can learn more about your product or service. This means that you’ll be able to drive more traffic to your website and increase brand awareness. Your Facebook Live event will also be promoted in Facebook Watch and the recorded Facebook video can also be shared as a Facebook Story or you can also download video and re-stream as a pre recorded video without having to actually be live to reach more Facebook users.

Retarget Live Content Viewer with Facebook Marketing Ads

Whenever anyone views your live content or recorded videos, they can be retargeted with Facebook ads. This is especially useful to continue promoting your product or services to higher quality traffic. Everyone who has seen your stream or recording can also be analyzed with Facebook Insights.

4 Tips Before Going Live On Facebook

You don’t want to go live without preparing right? So in this part, I will be sharing with you some tips or best practices you might want to consider before conducting a Facebook Live session.

Conduct A Dry Run

There are a couple of reasons why you might want to conduct a dry run before going live on Facebook. For starters, it can help you prepare for any possible issues that might occur during the live stream. You don’t want to have to deal with any unexpected technical difficulties, and dummy runs can help you avoid these problems. Rehearsing your script before going live will help you deliver your message more effectively. A dry run can help you eliminate any awkwardness that might occur during your live stream. With practice and repetition, you will develop a strong script for going live on Facebook.

Create an Outline of Your Content

An outline can give you a more specific focus for your Facebook Live broadcast, making it easier to stay on topic and keep your viewers entertained. It can be helpful if you want to make sure the main points of your live stream are covered. Also, by creating an outline, you can ensure that your live stream is organized and that each topic is covered in a concise way. Having an outline will also help you to make sure that you don’t run out of time during your live stream.

Create An Attention Grabber Live Title

There are a few factors that go into choosing an attention-grabbing title for your Facebook Live. A well-crafted title will pique the interest of viewers, making them want to tune in and learn more about what you have to share. It should be catchy and easy to remember, while also being relevant to the topic you’re discussing.

Promote Your Facebook Live Video

Announcing when will you be going live days or months before the scheduled date is a must. You can promote your topic by making video content or a poster and sending it to a different Facebook page or Facebook account. You can also utilize the use of the internet especially other social platforms like Twitter and Instagram so your audience will take interest in watching your live. By taking into consideration with these simple things, you can ensure that your Facebook Live is a success.
